What Does Pet Insurance Cost?
As there is such a broad range of companies providing pet insurance cover there are also many different policies to choose from.
Dogs do cost more to insure than cats and they type of dog you own (I.e. a pure breed Bull Mastiff would cost more than a Labrador cross breed usually) will have a large bearing on the premium you pay.

Generally speaking, insurance policies start from as low as £8.00 per month for a dog and £5.00 per month for a cat but can be substantially higher for certain breeds of certain ages. Always read the small print when choosing a policy, while it may appear to be good value at first glance often you may be required to pay a much higher rate of excess should you ever need to make a claim.
